Saturday's PhotoHunting: Fluffy

While driving around in Scotland back in 2009, I enjoyed seeing these white fluffy spots scattered along the deep green fields of grass along the roads.

The fluffy spots were actually Scottish sheep grazing.  It was so cool finding them everywhere and I like them so much that I featured them in past posts, HERE and HERE.

Before my trip, fellow PhotoHunter and Blogging friend Annie (Churches in Venice) wrote this really cool Post  to share her friend's postcard of what she thought was a Scottish Sheep but turned out to be a cute little baby Highland Cow. :)  Thankfully she still shared the postcard and that is how I learned about these Highland Cows in Scotland before my trip. Many thanks to Annie for introducing me in a fun way to these beautiful animals. They are also sort of fluffy too with their long bangs and thick fur.  I'm sure they'll be featured on more future photohunt posts.

For this week's theme, I give you more Scottish Sheep fluffiness . . . .

The green patch indicates who the owners are.

I even did a quick video of them . . . ever watched Sheep walk to the beat of a Prince song? :)

  1. Ha ha, I still laugh when I think about getting the sheep and the cows mixed up. I love your photos esp. the one of that sheep meditating by the water. And the video is too cool!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Annie, thanks so much for your comments. :) I still laugh too. That was such a cute post and am so grateful to you for introducing me to the Highland cows with your post. Yes, that sheep by the water is very cool.

I had to giggle when I looked at this video. I didn't realize how loud I was blasting my CD and it's funny watching the sheep walk in perfect rhythm with the cool one. :) Have a great weekend too!

  3. Hi Kathy --

I've been to Scotland once -- but only to Edinburgh. Your photos make me want to visit the more rural parts of the country. So many parts of the world that I have yet to visit... aaaaah! ;b

  8. Cute!! Love these fluffy sheep. The sheep we encountered on the mountain road in Southern Tuscany were not so fluffy...they reminded me more of goats than sheep.
