I took a photo of this old vehicle while walking around in the historic quarter of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. What a charming town and I was so happy that I decided to pay it a visit as a day trip from Buenos Aires.

Annie, it is pretty funky and yes it is a classic. I think you're right, I bet there are some pretty interesting stories and an intriguing history behind them. :)
YTSL, I'm thinking it may cost a pretty penny to fix this baby up again. Maybe the owner loves plants and figure why not make his car into a planter instead. :)
I did the very same thing, so many years ago - then went on, by bus, to Montevideo for a few days.
My Saturday Photo Hunting is about India, what else. Only 45 days left of my six months stay. I'll be back in San Francisco on Dec 3rd, in time for Christmas!
Marcy, yes it definitely caught my camera's attention. :)
RNSANE, I think if I had planned a bit more, I would have loved to see more of Uraguay. I had heard wonderful things about Montevideo. Enjoy your next 45 days in India. Safe travels back home.
ECL, I've seen classics like this still driving around here and they are very cool to see on the road.
What a cool and funky flower pot! Great find. Such a classic old car - probably so many stories with this car.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday and hope you have a great weekend!
Poor car! I wonder how much time and money it'd take to get it working as a proper vehicle again...
