It's too difficult to pick my top favorites at this point, but I am so happy that Deandre Brackensick, Jessica Sanchez, Adam Brock, Heejun Han and Shannon Magrane made it through.
Sadly, the most heartbreaking cuts were Lauren Gray, Jermaine Jones and David Learner. If they are bringing back one guy I think it should only be fair that they bring back one girl too. What's up with that AI!
I think this season will be awesome. There are some very unique and talented contestants here and I can't wait for the live shows. Btw, I think Steven Tyler taking a dive in the water was so awesome! :)

Hi K: Great comments. Agree with you, especially about those not chosen. The field was a good one to choose from and I'm glad the judges decided on some a little off the Top 40 chart. I think the competition from The Voice may improve this show. I noticed Jennifer didn't seem to weep as much this year. I, too, thought that Steven's jump into the pool was hilarious. He keeps this engin' chuggin......

Thanks for the recap - I didn't get to see the whole show and I'm really looking forward to starting to get to know more of these singers next week. The ones I've seen are very talented!

ReplyDeleteM, thanks. I also think that the field is a good one again this year. The boys seems more diverse and strong (again) this year. But I also see some great talent among the girls too. I've been watching the Voice too and I think CeeLo is so cool and funny. The talent is good too. That Steven, he does seem to enjoy life. :) You are right about Jennifer, she does look a lot more comfortable. Poor thing had such a hard time last year.
Annie, I'm glad you like the recap. I had to do my photo collage just so I can learn their names. There was one guy that I didn't even see sing once and so I would love to see him perform a full song. I hope that for the twist they bring back Jermain Jones. I was so sad when they had to cut him. Even Steven Tyler felt so bad.
