. . . the Puente Nueve (New Bridge).
A bridge takes us somewhere
which is always on the other side.
However only some bridges
can take us beyond their structure and pillars,
where writers, dreamers and creators roam,
where images of dreams
and the imagination are built.
The new bridge in Ronda is this place."

Your photos are great and so is that description of the bridge. How lucky to be so near it when you were there!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend.
Hi Annie, yes I did feel very lucky to be that close. Literally stepped out of my hotel lobby and onto the bridge. Very cool
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend too! It's really hot in Southern California. :)
Oh wow, what an amazing looking bridge! :O
ReplyDeleteIts creation surely was a great feat of engineering (and architecture too?)!
Hi YTSL, it really is a pretty amazing bridge. It's height was longer than it's width and I was lucky to walk across it and down this mine to get a sense of its height. Like you said an amazing engineering feat.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Wow, that is so cool!! I love bridges and that is a an amazing one. My mom really liked Ronda when she was in Spain a couple years ago, although she was there only for a day. Love the quotation too.
ReplyDeleteoh i would love to see that bridge :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anne & Ewok, thanks so much for liking my photo.
ReplyDeleteAnne, it's very cool that your mom enjoyed Ronda.I really enjoyed it too. The Puente Nueve was the highlight of my stay there. Really amazing.
Ewok, I think you would also love this bridge too. It's really an amazing visual. I'm not afraid of heights but even felt a bit wobbly looking down from the railings. :)
Have a great weekend!
Wonderful bridge!
