Saturday's PhotoHunting: Landscapes

I've seen some amazing landscapes while traveling to different countries, but I have to say that my two most favorite landscapes are located right here in North America.

The Yosemite Valley has the visual magnificence to make hikers, photographers and nature lovers weep.   When you finally reach the top of the half dome and look out onto the valley, you have to take a moment to absorb its beauty. And then you have to head back down in order to reach camp by  nightfall.  We barely made it down before night fall.

My top choice for favorite landscape  . . . the Grand Canyon!  It literally took my breath away the first time I saw it.  It is so stunning you almost feel as if you're looking at a painting.

Thank you mother nature!

  1. The Grand Canyon shots are beautiful but the Yosemite ones are breathtaking. I'd be terrified to be so close to the edge as the people in your photo!

  2. Hi YTSL, Yosemite is really gorgeous and I would love to return to photograph some of the fall colors one day. The crazy folks in the photo are me and my friends. I'm in the purple shirt. :) In order to avoid vertigo while looking over the edge to the valley floor, we have to lay on our stomach which I didn't mind doing just to look at that view! You are right, breathtaking.

Thanks so much for your comments. Have a great weekend and enjoy your hike tomorrow.
