PhotoHunt: Daily

The interesting and charming pleasantries of daily conversation that takes place amongst friends and neighbors in the small fishing town of Vernazza, Italy . . . .

I took this photo while my friend and I were having dinner at Trattoria Sandro located a short distance from the train station on the main street. While day trippers and tourists walked by, going about their business, my friend and I noticed a group of neighbors and friends gathered on these benches along the street to chat. A daily routine can be quite interesting when it's not our own.:)

My thoughts are with the victims in Chile and with everyone in Hawaii like ST blogger, Girasoli. She's been posting some very helpful updates on the situation there. And Marta posted a very helpful live stream link called Upstream. Thanks G & Marta!

I spoke with my sister this morning and she assured me that they are not in the evacuation low lying ground. I was very glad to hear that. Be Safe all of you...

Dear Elizabeth . . .

I have been really avoiding posting this blog, but I've been wanting to give everyone an update on Elizabeth and so when Donna SF posted a comment asking about Elizabeth, I felt it was time.

I'm sorry to disappoint everyone, but Elizabeth is back with her owners. While Elizabeth was with me, I had an allergic reaction. Her owners who really adore Elizabeth, came to get her and told me that maybe I could see my doctor about my allergies and if it works out they would gladly bring Elizabeth back.

On behalf of Elizabeth, I wanted to once again thank everyone for the very cool Virtual party and for all of your wonderful comments. At one point I tried to get Elizabeth to look at all the cute graphics and photos, but instead she plopped herself on my keyboard. So cute...

Her owners are very sweet and they gave me an open invitation to come and visit Elizabeth anytime. My sister recommended Claritin so that is what I will try when I visit Elizabeth.

Elizabeth really stole my heart and so I am hoping things will work out . . .

Creating 2 1/2 Feet of Irresistible, Tubular . . . .

I received several e-mails from my dear blogging friends who were concerned after noticing my absence. I want to thank all of you for your concern and to apologize for causing you and others to worry.

For the past three weeks, it has been off the chart crazy at work. At some point, I thought of Obama's message and oddly enough I also thought of that cool movie "Kinky Boots". Inspiration can come from some pretty interesting places. After many hours, days, sleepless nights, meetings, reports and creative strategizing, we were successful in saving jobs. Failure was not an option. But the climb has just begun and there will be more challenges to face. So if I happen to go missing for awhile, I'm probably off creating 2 1/2 Feet of Irresistible, (Red and not Burgundy) Tubular ...

This weekend (first free weekend in a long while), I plan on reading all the cool, interesting, funny, inspirational, beautiful and entertaining posts that I've missed.

I haven't watched Idol these past three weeks and tonight I enjoyed Girl's Night. I thought that little video of Simon supposedly putting his hand on Ellen's leg was very funny. I have to say that I liked Ellen on the show. It was interesting to see whether any of my favorites in the auditions made it. Some did but more didn't. I loved Crystal Bowersox's performance and thought that Michelle Delamor's and Lilly Scott's performances followed closely behind. I can already sense my top 5 favorites in the group. Boy's night should be fun!

And that's my very brief Recap. Keep on Rocking AI...
