PhotoHunt: Open

With a wide open mouth and a beer in hand, this cute statue in Toledo, Spain tries to lure passing travelers like myself to take a beer break from our sightseeing activities. Too bad I don't drink beer. I did (and do) however love Spanish Cava. I had fun with this week's theme. He, he!

See more PhotoHunters HERE!

So whether it's beer, wine, cava, prosecco, margarita or some other kind of refreshing drink that you enjoy . . . have a safe and awesome 4th of July Holiday weekend!

Btw, Saturday (7/3/10) @ 2:30 pm est, World Soccer Match Paraguay vs Spain . . . Go España!

  1. Funny expression on that guy's face. I love cava too, much more than I like beer. Hope you have a great holiday weekend!

  2. Hi Kathy, I love your take on the picture. I know that an ice-cold Cruzcampo always gets my husband's mouth wide open! The beer is actually from Sevilla. The company uses the Gambrinus Icon (the guy in your photo) to make some really fun commercials. Hope you enjoy your long holiday weekend. We will be celebrating with a winter barbie.
We will also be up at 4 am to watch the fútbol match--don't think there will be any beer drinking going on at that hour. ¡Viva España!

  4. Hi Everyone, thanks so much for your comments and for liking my photo. :)

Annie, I love his funny expression too. As usual I'll always scroll through my photos and put them in my Open folder to come up with a theme. And when I saw this guys expression with the beer in his hand looking all jolly, I thought cool. :) Funny how things just kind of pop in our head. Can't wait to see your photo. Have a great holiday weekend too!

Hi Maya, thanks so much for liking my photo and take. That's cool that your husband gets wide eyed with his Cruzcampo. Reading the description on google makes me wish I drank beer. :) This icon is so cute, he makes me wish I drank beer just so I can taste what makes him so happy. :) I will be enjoying the match at a little get together. I'm sure that there will be wild cheers going on all over Spain, makes me wish I was there. 4 am is kind of early for beer drinking, but I'm sure the excitement will all but make up for the lack of your husband's favorite beer. Enjoy your winter barbie and the game tomorrow. I'm going to have to pull out my Spain flag to hang up. :) Viva España!

Julie, thanks so much for your comments. I don't even drink beer and it got me to go in. :)

  10. Hi Nancy, thanks for liking my photo. That's cool that you're a cava fan too. :)

Hi Girasoli, I know what you mean. At first I thought I took this photo from Germany... Thanks for liking my photo and take. And cool that you're pulling for Spain too. Wasn't that game great! It was down to the wire and I couldn't believe that they went offside during the penalty kick, talk about stressing after that. But it all turned out okay in the end. As Maya said ¡Viva España!

Thanks Nancy & Girasoli, have a great 4th of July day today!
