This made me laugh . . .
I love my Spanish Guitar that I brought home from Spain last year, but I'm pretty sure I won't be bringing home bag pipes. Well, maybe a little tiny one like my Sangria bottle. :)
And speaking of music . . . . (segway), AnnieNC told me that Adam Lambert's first Album will be released on November 24! Whoo hoo! And to whet our appetites, here is a brief look at a song called "Time for A Miracles" for a movie soundtrack called 2012!
Keep on Rocking Adam . . .
Kathy, thanks so much for the link to "Time for Miracles." I had not seen or heard it and listened to it several times last night. Definitely makes me want more so I'm counting down the days til Nov. 24.
ReplyDeleteLove the cartoon! Hope you find some little bagpipes to bring home and I also hope you get to hear some played while you are there!
Hi Annie, doesn't he sound great! I am also looking forward to his CD release. There are pre-orders already being taken on i-tunes and everyone is so pumped to hear it. I've seen that video clip several times too. A song on a soundtrack right out of the gates. Looks like Adam is not only on his way but he's already there I think.
ReplyDeleteThat cartoon is very funny. I can't leave Scotland without getting a little bagpipe souvenir. :) I hope I get to hear some playing too. Maybe in Edinburgh where there might be some street performers.
Have a great day today!
Kathy, thank you so much for the link. I would have never known about this title track song or the cd. Great sound, vibrant like the star he is. So good!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, I think you'll enjoy the little preview. The subject sounds kind of depressing but Adam's song sounds very good! Can't wait to hear therest of the lyrics.
ReplyDeleteAnnie shared his CD release date with me and Then I read Brenda's (BGE) Twit (I also follow Adam too) and found out about this preview video on YouTube for this song he did for the upcomming movie 2012.
It's all very exciting!
Hi Annie & Barb, I forgot to mention that Adam will be performing at the AMA on Nov 1. Adam, Paula Abdule & snoop Dogg announced the nominees recently. I think I'm still going to miss Paula on AI.
ReplyDeleteHe is so comfortable inf front of the camera and still seems so humble even with all his new fame!
Thanks for the head's up about the AMA. I will try to watch him!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to miss Paula too. It's going to be very interesting to see what the new judge team will be like. And I bet there won't be anyone like Adam this year (he's a hard act to follow).
Hi Annie, I wonder if Paula regrets her decision and I wonder how much they are paying Ellen. I hope it isn't the amount or more that Paula was asking. That would be terrible.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it will be very interesting to see what happens. And I also think that Adam will be a hard act to follow.
Hopefully it will be entertainig and fun. Can't wait for season 9 to start.
Hi K: Thanks for sharing that - American Idol has big shoes to fill with both Paula and the uniqueness of Adam. He'll be a tremendous star with that distinctive voice. LOL-just a SMALL sangria bottle? ixne on the bagpipes - just find a scottish ---- terrier!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI loved the cartoon. Thanks for the laugh.
Hi Flygirl, I agree that Idol has some pretty big shoes to fit next season. I think Adam really set the bar and as much as I am a big fan of Ellen, it's hard to mess with the original formula. Hope it works out. LOL, on the bagpipe ixne for the scottish terrier...they are really cute with their little short legs.
ReplyDeleteHi Maya, :) glad you like the cartoon. It reminded me of the morning I left my hotel in Granada. I kept accidently hitting the walls (narrow hallways) when climbing down the stairs and finally had to make two trips or risk waking up the entire hotel.
Thanks for your comments and have a great day today!

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, I just read this interview with Anoop - he's going to be performing at the NC State Fair next week. It's an interesting article - his contract with Idol ended and now he's trying to move on.
Happy Friday!
Hi Annie, cool! Thanks so much for the link. I just read it and it is great to read about Anoop's plans. I think he will do great in his music career and like Adam, it's nice to hear that he hasn't forgotten his fans and where he came from. I am looking forward to this CD's and will definitely buy it. I've liked him since the tryouts and will always be a fan!
ReplyDeleteI heard that Kris and Alison has a single out now. I haven't had a chance to hear it on i-tunes yet, but I hope they do well too.
Thanks for the link Annie! Have a great Friday! It's the weekend. :)
I love the cartoon! And I can't wait to see all the souvenirs you will be bringing from your trip to Scotland!
ReplyDeleteAdam sounds great!
Hi Candi, glad you liked the cartoon. I hope to find a liitle bagpipe player figurine, a CD, and a nice painting from hopefully a street artist. That would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you like Adam too! He does sound so great! Thanks again Candi and have a great weekend!
Hadn't heard of Adam Lambert before, but great sound - thanks for posting the video, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteThat cartoon made me laugh - now I'll be picturing you packing for your return and trying to stuff bagpipes into your suitcase! lol
Hi Anne, glad you enjoyed the video and liked Adam. He is the 2nd place finisher from last year's American Idol show. Although he came in second, the feeling is that he will still be very successful in his career just based on this talent and public appeal.
ReplyDeleteIf I do bring home bagpipes, I'll make sure to deflate before them packing them, out of courtesy to my neighbors... :)
It's a cute cartoon especially since I was recently thinking about what souvenirs I would like to bring home...
Thanks so much for your comments Anne. Have a great weekend!
Great cartoon! Authentic bag pipes would be a little complicated to take on the plane :) I bet they sell cute souvenirs though.
ReplyDeleteThe song sounds like it will be a big hit.
Great cartoon Kathy -- and your trip is coming up so fast, how exciting!
ReplyDeleteI just started reading the Outlander series, set in Scotland, and it really makes some of the history of the country come to life! Now I'm getting anxious to visit there.
Doh! Oops, I HAVE heard of him - you wrote about him when blogging about AI, didn't you? Apparently my memory is going in my old age! lol
ReplyDeleteHi Girasoli, glad you enjoyed the cartoon. Yes real bag pipes would be very complicated to bring home, I will gladly settle for a cute little souvenir. And yes, Adam's song sounds pretty good and they are already talking about a Grammy Award nomination for the title for the movie soundtrack. That would be so cool if he got nominated and actually won!
ReplyDeleteSandra, glad you like the cartoon. For some reason it really made me laugh...maybe because of my experience bringing home my Spanish guitar last year. The Outlander series sounds interesting. I love how books can bring something to life for us. I've been pretty occupied lately with organizing my logistics and reading up on Scotland's history and all the interesting background stories of all the places I'll be visiting and seeing (so I can really appreciate them when I see it in person). It's very exciting and I can't wait to see and experience everything when I get there. I hope that you get to visit there soon too. It seems that you would really love it there.
Anne, no worries. :) It's been awhile since American Idol aired. I don't know if he'll get as big as David Bowie or the Cool One, but I think he is probably going to be one of the more well known American Idol contestant in it's history.
Thanks again Girasoli, Sandra and Anne ... I hope you all have a great day today!
