  1. Kathy, joy is the PERFECT word to describe slow travel, well chosen!!! Is this photo of Campo Santa Margherita in Venice??

Thanks for this entry, and for giving me the inspiration for my entry :) Have a great day!

  2. Perfect! Love your word and it really makes me smile to see Campo Santa Margherita this morning! I remember sitting in that campo on one of those red park benches, just watching the world go by, and seeing a woman walk out of a shop with the cutest little puppy and he ran over to the bench and said hello to me. Stuff like that doesn't happen when you are being a rushing tourist!

Great post! I am still stumped on my word, although I've got a few photos in mind. Need to keep thinking...

Brenda is an AI fan too - she has a post up on her blog. I was surprised last night that it was already time for Hollywood week. More on that later...

Love your word and your photo!

  3. Perfect, Kathy!

Your one word, one photo post is so so appropriate and beautiful. Joy it is.

  4. What a great post, Kathy! I love your word choice, Joy is so appropriate.

And a great photo of a beautiful, but real, campo. It looks like people are going about their daily lives, amidst all the wonderful history -- and you're a part of it. Slow Travel, indeed.

Campo Santa Margherita is one of my favorite places to hang out in Venice.

  6. Hi Anne, glad you liked my descriptive word and also for saying that my entry inspired your entry! Your post was so wonderful. It seems like we have all been so touched by this special community. Pretty cool.
My other words were beauty and Happy, but somehow “Joy” nailed it for me. The photo was a little harder and no surprise that my second choice was in Santa Margherita too! The image and mood of this (my favorite) compo just said it all for me.
This was fun! Thanks so much Anne and that was so sweet of you to mention my entry in your wonderful post. You’ve inspired me so much, it feels really good to finally be able to return the gesture. Have a great day Anne!

  7. Hi Annie, glad you liked my word. It just felt really right to me in describing Slow Travel. I know I cheated on my word a bit with the colors but I really wanted the word to “sing”! He he!

I had a much harder time with the photo, but as I mentioned to Anne, my other picture was also of Santa Margherita. I just love that Campo. Like you, I enjoyed sitting on one of the benches and just watching all the people and activities. I totally remember you mentioning that cute little puppy ! I love it! You know, I was one of those fast tourist day trippers during my first two trips to Venice and would never have been able to experience this beautiful campo had I not learned the Slow Travel ways!

I think it’s too cool that Brenda is also an AI fan! I left her a comment. I'm not sure if I'll be able to wake up early enough to write my post. I'll try! Looks like Anoop and Danny made it through! Whoo hoo!

Have a nice evening Annie! We’ll do some AI recapping soon!

And Campo Santa Margherita was totally my favorite too. Spent a lot of time there. Lucky my apartment wasn’t that far away. Oh the memories! I wish I was there right now!
