Vote Obama-Biden: Hope Changes Everything . . .

This month's photo is of the Astronomical Clock in the very beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic! I think it is the right choice being that we are fast approaching an important time in American History!

We have a very important decision to make on November 4, 2008! Let's make it the right decision and the right choice for the next President and Vice President of the United States. The time for change is now! Get involved, hold up signs, get creative for change and hope, make some history, create music and get the family involved, children are our future! Don't let up! Get out and Vote!

I'll probably stay up on election night packing for my trip two days later to the beautiful country of Spain where a fellow blogging pal, Maria, has been traveling. I was recently delighted to hear from Maria who was just in Jerez de la Frontera. In her comments HERE, Maria was so kind to inform me that she left me some of that delicious Jerez and Cava! :) She was also very kind to give me some helpful and awesome tips for my stay in Sevilla. Maria and her husband are currently enjoying the rest of their trip in the exotic country of Morocco and Maria said that she is looking forward to returning and as she says "catch up with her regular bloggers!" I will leave on my trip two days later and another fellow blogging pal, AnnieNC, leaves for beautiful Venice in December and I believe there are other travelers also leaving in a few days. I really hope and pray that Maria and others currently traveling will return to a new change in America and that all of us about to leave on our trips can go with a sense of renewed optimism and confidence.

VOTE OBAMA-BIDEN ON NOVEMBER 4, 2008!

  1. Kathy, from your lips (or at least, your post) to God's ear!

Have you started packing, or drafting lists of what you want to pack for Spain? I can't believe you leave in just four days -- whoo-hoo!

Your plans sound so great, I'm excited for you.

  2. Hi Sandra, yes, and I do hope he's hearing . . .

I've had my luggage out for two weeks and have not put one item in it to date. I guess I've turned into a late packer. I do have a list that I can work off of from last year and have been on the weather watch to decide on my clothes. Hopefully everything will be done by at least Tuesday and so Wednesday I can just sort of relax. Only a few more days more. Whoo hoo! :)

Thanks for your comments and have a great weekend Sandra!

  4. Hi Girasoli, I can't wait until Tuesday gets here too! I'm going to stay positive also.

Yes, it was very cool to hear from Maria. I'm sure they are having a blast in Morocco and I also can't wait to hear about her trip.

Thanks for your comments and have a great Sunday!

2 Days more and 4 more days! Whoo Hoo!

  5. Great post Kathy! Time for change, woo hoo! I love the photo of that cool clock. And how wonderful that you heard from Maria with some Spain tips hot off the press. I've been wondering how she is doing so I'm glad you heard from her.

I'm thinking positive too. I just saw a guy on CBS This Morning who said that if some of the East Coast states like North Carolina "turn it blue", we might actually know the results early on Tuesday evening. Oh, I just hope we don't have to drag this thing out and count hanging chads or anything horrible like in 2000.

I hope the rest of your trip prep goes very smoothly!

  6. Hi Annie, yes it was very nice to hear from Maria and get those valuable hot off the press "tips!" She told me where I can see some old Roman ruins and Mosaics near Sevilla for my 2008 Italy "fix" too! :) A place called Italica. She said I can catch a bus there! Whoo hoo!

That would be so cool if we can find out the results Tuesday Evening! I hope North Carolina and the other Eastern States can turn it Blue! From your posts, I know that NC has been really working hard on it and hopefully you will all be rewarded. Actually we all will benefit. I heard something about North or South Dakota also being a key state also. It's going to be hard to be at work on Tuesday while all this excitement is going on.

Thanks for your comments. I hope to be done with all the prep work by Tuesday. And then hopefully after Tuesday, it's party time! (knock on wood). Have a great Sunday Annie!

  8. No worries Girasoli! You know sometimes I forget about my photos from prague and the other places and with our current situation, I just sort of immediately thought about that clock! :) I've been trying to watch that video you did on your blog but for some reason my computer won't play it. I will try again tonight! Have a good one!

  12. Hi Annie, after raining steadily early this morning I stepped outside to go and vote and it's clear blue skies and absolutely gorgeous! It's like the heavens opened up and smiled on us . . . I am also trying to stay positive. I'll be listening big time to the news even while at work.

Thanks so much for your kind words! I will definitely post while on the road from Spain. Thanks again for all your comments, tips and encouragements.

It would be sooooo cool for all of us traveling to leave on a really uplifting and optimistic note. I just might find a place in Madrid (knock on wood) to hopefully Party Big time! :)

Safe travels to you too and enjoy your Venice trip preparations yourself.

  13. oops almost forgot to say that I did cast my vote! Whoo hoo! I was chatting in line with another Obama supporter and as all the Obama voters walked by us they were all smiles. I did see a couple of Bush supporters and they didn't look happy at all! :)

It was very exciting and for the first time in a long time there was quite a line. I waited about 30 minutes which wasn't bad at all. Everyone looked prepared and had their little booklets so the line moved quickly.

  16. Hi Girasoli, it's a fantastic day! And I just know that Obama will be a great leader and get us back in the right direction! I wonder if Maria knows! I'm thrilled to leave for my great Spanish Adventure on a high note . . . and Annie can do the same when she leaves for Venice in December! Whoo hoo!

After logging off from that fabulous chat room party I went ahead and packed a few things. I had very little sleep. Needless to say I was a tad late for work this morning! :)

I'll stay up tonight as long as it takes to finish the job so I'm hoping I'll knock out on the plane. Probably with happy dreams.
Thanks for your well wishes. I'll probably blog one more time before I leave tomorrow. And then I'll do a quick post on Shannon's Spain forum for blog announcments and then it's vacation time. Yay!

Thanks again for your comments and all of your support and encouragements.

Enjoy your post election win happy feeling!

  17. Hi Annie, yes we can . . . go on our trips proud and confident! Both great ingredients for a fun and happy vacation! :)

We totally missed you in the Chat room last night. And although you couldn't see us, we were all pulling for NC to turn blue for Obama. This morning I asked someone and he said it wasn't final yet in two states. I'll have to check your blog after my post.

Hope the rest of your trip goes well and safe travels back. Have fun catching up with all the news on the great win!

I'll post maybe one more time before leaving tomorrow. And then I'm off to Spain! Whoo hoo!

Thanks again Annie and have a great weekend!
