Someplace New & Someplace Familiar

My next travel adventure will take me to someplace new (Croatia) and someplace familiar (Italy). This trip will be extra special because it will be my sister's first trip to Europe.  I have always wanted to show her why I love to travel to Europe and finally convinced her to take this trip with me. This will also be brother-in-law's first trip to Europe.  It will be fun to be a part of their first experiences traveling to Europe. Of course for me every trip feels like the "first time"!

When I started planning this trip, I made sure that a visit to one of my most favorite cities in Europe, Venice, Italy is included in the itinerary.  It will be our first stop on this trip!  I can almost taste the gelato, pasta and prosecco already. 🍷

At night when all the hoards of day tripping tourists have left, the few of us who remain, can witness what truly makes Venice so unique and beautiful.

Countdown has begun.  Stay tuned!

Hi Kathy, here is a link to a new Venice food blog. She reviews restaurants and cafes etc. I was happy to see that there are a couple of new vegetarian places that have opened in Venice since the last time I was there!

    1. Cool! Thanks so much for the link Annie. I just checked it out and that is an awesome blog. I'm going to have to jot down some of her recommended places and I'm going forward the link to my sis. They are big foodies and are very excited to taste the food on our trip.

We're so excited. Just bought our tickets yesterday and all of our lodgings are booked.

Have a great day and thanks again for sharing this fabulous resource.

    1. Hi Annie, I have booked a VRBO apartment in Dorsoduro, near Campo San Patalon. I read good reviews and liked the location.
