Trekcapri's Camino de Santiago: I'm Back

I'm back from Spain and my Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage. I had intended to blog while on my Camino, but time was very limited and I could only manage writing quick posts on my Trekcapri's Travel Adventures Facebook Page and on Slow Europe which is a great travel resource that has a wonderful travel community forum.

I have a lot to talk about and now that I am home I will try to post some of my thoughts and reviews for anyone who is interested in also walking the Camino de Santiago.

At the top of my things to talk about is a review (before & after) of my packing list. This is a photo of my packing list contents "before" my Camino.  I will write a review (maybe even do a video) of what I would change from this original list. First and foremost, I would leave about 40% of it at home and I would take a smaller backpack. :)

Stay tuned.  Buen Camino!

  1. Hello Kathy! So happy to hear that you are home from what I'm sure was an amazing experience. Would love to hear more!

I'm not on Facebook yet and my blog is still frozen, but I am on Flickr and Goodreads. The Internet has changed so much since we met on Slow Travel so many years ago.

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday. I'm not going to mention politics since I'm sure we are both baffled by the "state of things" but I am thinking good thoughts about the future. Best wishes to you and yours for a happy holiday.

    1. Hi Annie, I don't think I have your email or other way of contacting you, so I hope you see this comment. I just read that Internet Brands is shutting down SlowTalk this month. I'm not sure what will happen to content on the blogs as it is uncertain if this decision will affect their SlowTravel Website and the blogs associated with them. I wanted to alert you.

  2. Merry Christmas Annie! Oh my gosh I was just thinking about you the other day when I got an email with your google reads update. I've missed reading your Venice posts. I hope IB will unfreeze your blog so you can access your content to either blog or move your content to your own wordpress blog so you can have full control.

Unfortunately, I didn't do well blogging while on my Camino, because I had so little time and energy after each day's walk, but I did do quite a bit of posting on my FB travel page. I did manage a few posts on Slow Europe too.

Oh my on the politics. I can't tell you how upset I was while in Spain. And frankly, all the Spaniards I spoke to feel the exact same way as we do. I'll miss Obama's leadership and "class". And Michelle and their girls were also wonderful. I will pray for our Country and hope for the best too.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Healthy and Happy New Year!
