Saturday's PhotoHunting: Joy

From Machu Picchu - Peru

Whether I get there by plane, train, automobile, boat or foot.
When I travel to a place in this world, I have always dreamed of seeing.
It's difficult to find the words to describe what I'm feeling in that moment.
Sometimes I feel like there are just no words.
But if I had to find the words, it would only be one.

JOY!

  1. I love that view of/from Machu Picchu that you posted here Kathy. In my youth, I actually did dream about going there -- but in recent decades, I've not thought much of going to South America (too far!). So it's wonderful to get looks at that continent via your photos.

  2. Hi YTSL, I love that shot too. As I was sitting there admiring the view (I never grew tired of looking out onto Machu Picchu) I noticed this guy doing the same and thought it was a cool perspective. I've always dreamed of traveling to Africa but 24 hours travel time just doesn't seem appealing to me at least for now. Thank you so much for your comments.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. It gives me much joy to see your photos from your many travels. I have a young family to care for, so I couldn't travel far. Love to see the world through your eyes.

    1. Hi ECL, thanks so much for your comments. I'm glad you like my photos. You are very fortunate to have your family and that kind of joy is so much more important than travel joy.

      Have a wonderful weekend.
