Must come down . . . .
The steps going up the Ollantaytambo Fortress (Temple Hill) in Peru doesn't look so bad from afar, but it is deceiving. The steps are narrow, high and uneven and although going up isn't so bad, coming down can be tricky and really hard on your knees.
While resting in a shaded bench at the bottom I spotted this group having the same challenges going down these steps as I had.
Now if you think narrow, uneven steps are bad, check out these "Floating Stairs" in Machu Picchu. And no, I did not try them. :)
