American Idol Season 12: Top Three Homecoming Show

I enjoyed watching Candice, Kree and Angie travel back home to celebrate making Top 3 on Idol with their family, friends and fans.  I have to say that some of the clips gave me a big lump in my throat.

Tonight , the idols performed not two, but three songs each. One selected by Jimmy Iovine, one by the judges and the third song chosen by the producers of the show.

Here's how I rated tonight's performances:

Candice Glover sings One (Iovine), Next to Me (Judges) and Somewhere (Producers).  Candice has been my favorite contestant from the very beginning.  She deserves to be in the finale America.

Kree Harrison sings Perfect (Iovine), Here Comes Goodbye (Judges) and Better Dig Two (Producers).  I thought Kree did great in all her three performances, but her second song was just pure perfection! So emotional.

Angie Miller sings Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word (Iovine), Try (Judges) and Maybe (Producers). I thought Angie did very well, but I still think she has the weakest vocals in this top 3. I enjoyed her first performance the best.

Congratulations and good luck to all three "girl" contestants.

And here's how I voted on my AI App:

And that's my Recap. Keep on Rocking AI . . .

  1. Hi Kathy, I agree with your votes. I think Candace deserves to win it all and that Kree should join her in the finale. I love the homecoming shows - always fun to watch! Thanks for the recap.

    Enjoy the results show tonight!

  2. Hi Annie, Whew! Whoo hoo. Just read the eastcoast feeds and Candice and Kree made it to the finale! Yay! So happy. I think Angie will have a successful career as she has that fan appeal and is very talented. But I'm still glad that it's a Candice/Kree Finale!

Now I can watch tonight's show more relaxed.:)

    Enjoy the show too.

  3. America got it right! I was happy and a little bit surprised with the results. And did you see on the news today that Randy Jackson has announced that he won't be coming back next year? Hard to imagine Idol without him!

I'm looking forward to the finale! Hope you have a great weekend.

  4. Hi Annie, yes! When I read the eastcoast feeds I was really happy and suprised too. I thought for sure that Angie was going to make it because she is so popular. But I think America got it right too.

Yes, I read that Randy is leaving! That is very surprising but maybe he can sense that the end is near for AI. It is going to be hard to imagine Idol without him. They need to get Steven & JLO & Harry Connick Jr. and only three of them. The 4 judge system just does not work.

And did you hear that Adam will be performing on Finale night. That will be cool! It should be an awesome finale show. Have a great weekend too!
