American Idol Season 12: It's Rock 'n' Roll Night

The idols rocked it out on stage tonight performing songs made popular by rock legends like the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Heart, Queen, Bon Jovi, Evanescence and Janis Joplin.

Keeping it simple, here's how I rated tonight's performances:

Serious Idol Potential: Amber Holcomb sings What About Love. I thought this was her best performance so far in this competition; Kree Harrison sings Piece of My Heart Janelle Arthur sings You May be Right;  Candice Glover sings (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction; and Angie Miller sings Bring Me to Life.

Just Okay:  Burnell Taylor sings You Give Love a Bad Name; Lazaro Arbos sings We Are the Champions

Other notable winners tonight include the incredible guitarist, Orianthi, who accompanied the idols during their performances and those very cool and sparkly boots worn by Janelle Arthur.

And here's how I voted on my American Idol App.

And that's my Recap. Keep on Rocking AI . . .

  1. Hi Kathy, I was able to watch last nigh - agree with your rankings and your votes (Candace was my favorite). At this point, everyone is strong. Feel like one of the guys should go home but not sure if it will happen. What an interesting season!

  2. Hi Annie, cool that you were able to watch it last night. I liked all the girls and Candice was my favorite of the night. As much as I like Lasaro, I think he was the weakest. I think if someone else goes home, the judges may use the save :)
