American Idol Season 12: Idols Sing Two Songs to Make the Top 5

Tonight, the Idols sing two songs: one that was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and one that they wished they had written.

Here's how I rated tonight's overall performances:

Idol Potential:  Candice Glover sings Don't Make Me Over and Lovesong (Brilliant performance!).

Outstanding:  Kree Harrison sings What the World Needs Now is Love and Help Me Make It Through the Night; Amber Holcomb sings I Say a Little Prayer for You and Love on Top.

Very Good: Angie Miller sings Anyone Who Had a Heart and Love Came Down; Janelle Arthur sings I'll Never Fall in Love Again and The Dance

Weakest Performance of the Night: (Sorry): Lazaro Arbos sings Close to You and Angel.

And here's how I voted on my American Idol App:

And that's my Recap. Keep on Rocking AI . . .

  1. Hi Kathy, I agree completely - Candace was awesome! It's going to be interesting to see what happens - in all fairness, Lazaro should be the one to go home but will he? The judges might have to use their save if it's one of the girls.

    thanks for the recap!

  2. Hi Annie, Whew! I thought they were going to have to use the save but finally the fans voted correctly. Looks like we will finally have a female winner this year. Yay! I think this is the correct, top 5. Thanks so much for your comments and for your recap too.

    Have a great weekend!
