Saturday's PhotoHunting: Anger

What do you see in this photo . . . .

Okay, besides the nice hottie reading his book, take a look at these neatly color coded recycling containers in this train station in the Netherlands.

Now, you may be asking yourself, so Kathy what does this have to do with this week's theme?   Well, here's my take . . . nothing angers me more then when people don't recycle!   I know, it's a bit of a stretch. Forgive me.  I'll do better. :)

Just recently I turned in bags and bags of recyclable items and got $44.00 in return plus the satisfaction that I'm doing my part to save our environment.   Next week I leave for Argentina.  Yay!

Don't forget to vote on Tuesday, November 6!

  1. Recycling is good! And yeah, I share your anger at people who don't recycle.

Have a great time in Argentina, Kathy! Will miss your Photo Hunt entries when you're away but bet you'll return from your trip with lots of great photos to share. :)

    1. Hi YTSL, thanks so much for your comments. Yup, I am a big support of not wasting and love that it is a sentiment that is shared in places I visit as well.

I may try to post on PH while on the road if I can, but if not I will definitely be looking out for interesting things to photograph for possible "future" themes. :) Thanks so much for your comments.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  2. As someone who recycles and reuses to save our environment, it does anger me when I see people not bothering to do it.

Have a terrific holiday in Argentina. Come back with lots of photos yay!

  3. A great take on the theme, Kathy! I skipped this week's PH because I couldn't think of anything. Yours is perfect. it makes me angry too because most places make recycling so easy, why not do it.

Have fun spending your $44 in Argentina! I'm so excited for you. I'm nervous about this election but hope that all will go well.

Hope your last week of trip prep goes smoothly. Have a great weekend!

  4. Hi Annie, thanks so much. I'm up early today to get some packing done. I had hoped to have had it done by now but last week was a bust since I was in bed with my cold. Ugh. But it's gotten better and I'm more energized. he, he. And yes, the $44 which is $209 in Argentine pesos will be a lot of fun spending. lol.

I have been watching the election with great interest. I thought that it wouldn't be as close as it has been which is a big surprise for me. I'm really crossing my fingers and praying that Obama gets re-elected. I leave on Wednesday morning and have already mailed in my ballot, because I wanted to make sure my vote got in and Tuesday I wasn't sure if I'd have all my packing done so wanted to not worry about having enough time to vote. Should be an interesting Election day and evening. Go Obama/Biden!

Thanks so much and have a great weekend!

  5. Kathy, I think this is a very creative approach to the theme - well done! I just moved into a new apartment near the Vatican and while I don't like some things about the new neighbourhood, I do like the fact it has a lot of recycling bins. So that's great.

Hope the planning is going well for Argentina, I'm SO excited for you!!!

    1. Hi Sandra, thanks so much for your comments. That's cool that your new neighborhood has lots of recycling bins. I think Italy is pretty good with recylcing. I remember in Praina, there were 3 different bins in the apartment to place my things in. There is so much that we can recycle if we tried. I look forward to hearing more about your new place.

I'm just about done packing. I only have my carry-on to sort out. I'm off to work today but took tomorrow off so I can do some last minute things and then I leave on Wednesday morning. yay!
