I've decided to start a new blog project called "Pictures that are worth 1,000 words". I'm a pretty visual person and sometimes when I see certain images, they conjure up so many interesting stories in my head. Stories of romance, adventure, humor, history or just something interesting, cool and spontaneous. I think this will be a fun and creative outlet for me.

I absolutely love this photo of a young motorist relaxing by the beach near the Castel dell'Ovo in the city of Naples, Italy.
This image conjures up a story of this guy riding along on his bike. He has things to do, errands to run, people to see and yet he is enticed by the beautiful weather and an overpowering feeling to take some time out to relax. He pulls over, takes off his helmet, finds a spot and just lays down to enjoy the warmth of the sun. I love his pink shoelaces and the fact that he just looks so relaxed, shutting out all the worries of the world for that one brief moment. Awesome image!
So remember to give yourself the same kind of TLC. Take a moment to shut out all of your worries and find the time to just relax and enjoy life.

ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, thanks so much for liking my photo and post. I just love this image and it reminds me to take the time to relax and savor the little moments and pleasures in life. Very rejuvenating. :) Unfortunately, I have had a touch of bronchitis this past week but hopefully the worst is over. But the time staying in bed has given me some time to read and sleep. :)

ReplyDeleteHmmm, a meme would be pretty cool. I was thinking of maybe doing this once a month like my photo of the month or whenever the creative juices flowed. I actually thought of it because when I would do my photohunt I would find these really cool photos along the way and I would imagine and think about the stories behind them. Like this guy I could totally picture him riding along and just spontaneously deciding to take a break to relax in the sun.I guess it's sort of the opposite of the photohunt theme where we have to find the photo to fit the theme...here I had the interesting photo and then created the storyline or theme behind it. Maybe I can do a Monthly Pictures that are worth a thousand words meme. That does sound pretty cool. Thanks so much for the idea Annie. Maybe when I'm finally over with my Bronchitis, I'll give it a try.
