Lately, I've been really missing . . . need I even say it? I-T-A-L-Y!
One of my fondest memories of my 2005 European trip was my 3 day stay in Vernazza, Italy to hike the very beautiful Cinque Terre trails. Here is a photo looking down on the small town of Vernazza where we stayed. We hiked to the town of Monterosso Al Mare and enjoyed their annual Lemon Festival celebration.

ReplyDeleteAnnie, the blogger thing was funny. I thought I had accidently deleted something when my AI post vanished into thin air. I think I still have your comments and M's comments on my e-mail so I will copy and paste it back since it has still not been put back by blogger. And it is totally funny that it happened during missing theme week. :)
I can't wait to watch AI for the home trips for the Idols. Scotty is so true to his word isn't he. What a great kid. I like soon to be stars who don't forget their roots. Good for him and the final three. I do feel bad for James though but I read from Bren on ST that Santa Cruz decided to go forward with their plans to do a big welcome home celebration for him anyway and with Idol sponsoring it. How cool is that.
Sandra, the Lemon festival was soooo fun and cool. And we stumbled upon it. It apparently happens every third weekend in May and it is great. There are decorations, live bands playing and the "food" is fantastic, not to mention the atmosphere near the ocean and just everything Italy. I really want to return again when I am able to travel in the Spring, which work prevents me from doing these days.
