PhotoHunt: Self Portrait

This was a tough theme for me so this is a real stretch!  While visiting the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow I found this really cool interactive display where you match these puzzle pieces to come up with the face of a famous artist.

After turning and twisting, I "thought" I had matched the pieces to an artist known for his self portrait paintings, Vincent van Gogh (Wikipedia).   But wait, I know that Vincent did not have a "third" eye! An artist, I'm not.  he, he!

Told you it was a "stretch". :)

  2. Great take on the theme! Vincent did do a lot of self portraits. Funny about the third eye.

I was stumped this week and skipped PH. Yours is perfect!

Hope you're having a great weekend.

  3. Hi Jerry & Annie, thanks so much for your comments....

Jerry, glad you liked my idea. :) Have a super weekend too.

Annie, thanks so much for liking my theme. Vincent did paint quite a few self portraits and they are all so different and unique. I feel so bad that he felt so much sadness in his life. He was really talented.

the really funny part is I didn't even notice it when I snapped the photo. :)I actually thought I had put the puzzle together correctly and wanted to take a photo of it. ha, ha.

I was stumped this week too but remembered my goof on this puzzle of Vincent in Glasgow and then remembering seeing his self portraits recently in his museum some how, some way I thought it would be a cool take. If that sequence of thoughts didn't happen, I would've skipped PH this week too. thanks so much for liking it.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  6. No one said it had to be self portrait of yourself - so it isn't a stretch - just a clever interpretation. And a great memory.

  7. Hi Marta, thanks so much for liking my interpretation and for saying it is not a stretch...this was a hard one for me, probably the hardest theme so far, so I had to be creative. :)

    Have a great weekend!
