Amsterdam: Seeing butterflies in the most unlikely of places . . .

You have no idea how much editing I had to do to give you these colorful butterflies coming to you from the lovely washroom in the Sex Museum in Amsterdam.  :)

The mirror or should I say mini movie screen is located above the wash basin and so as you start to wash your hands, this scene (yes with a guy & a gal) comes on, nothing really naughty except that they take their clothes off . . . and then out of nowhere these beautiful and colorful butterflies come flying out.

So as you can see, some washroom (WC) experiences in Europe and while traveling for that matter can be quite entertaining as well as an adventure. :)

Fellow Slow Traveler and blogging friend, Girasoli (Shave Ice & Gelato) told me about the Sex Museum in Amsterdam and so I visited it while I was recently there last November.  I'm glad that I took her advice and went. :)

And by the way, while trying to find a link to the museum in Amsterdam, I happened across an entire list of sex museums on  Wikipedia located around the world. Who knew!   :

But there's much, much more to Amsterdam than sex and butterflies, so stay tuned for more on my look back to this amazing City.  More to come . . .

  2. Hi Annie, :) . . . it was a real surprise when the mirror came to life. It was very funny. I've had this and two other posts in draft form for some time now but have had major writer's block. I think I need to finish these posts and future ideas because I'm beginning to forget some details and I want to remember them. Sometimes I can't believe that I was actually on my trips, almost like it was all a dream rather than a memory. Really interesting feeling. It's a lot of fun reflecting back to these special memories.

Thanks so much for liking my Washroom butterflies . . . :)
