Yesterday while hiking with friends, I stopped at this spot to wait for others in our group. I had stopped here before when it was sunny clear blue skies. I looked out towards Catalina Island in the distance through the leafless branches of this tree. The darkened rain clouds looming and heading towards us. It was beautiful.
What a lovely, moody shot! This must have been a great hike, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very beautiful and moody shot. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra & Annie, thanks so much for your comments and for liking my photo. You're right it is a pretty moody shot. That is the perfect word for it. It's funny how images jump out at you. It's fun to change perspective when we look at things. One of the reasons I enjoy photography & travel. And now I think hiking ...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day today!
Great minds think alike! I didn't see Sandra's comment when I said "moody" ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, I had to smile when I first read both your comments. I totally agree with you . . . two great minds do think alike. You were both in complete sync when you described the "moody shot." How fun is that! :) I love it too!
ReplyDeleteForgot to say that I love your photo of the month too. What a great looking palazzo.
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, thanks so much for liking my photo of the month. The colors and the unusual curtains/shade caught my eye for some reason. I don't remember where I took this photo . . . must have been during a wandering around time. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, your photo captures a glimpse of something indescribably wonderful. Love LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteI would add to the quotation that, although our lives are entirely our own journey, we never walk alone! :)
Thanks so much for sharing the joy and beauty in your life, Kathy!
(and I echo Annie's last comment - the palazzo is gorgeous too!!)
Hi Anne, Amen to that my song sister friend . . . . I love the extension to that quote you wrote. I also believe that we don't walk our path in life alone! Perfectly said!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments and for liking my Palazzo too. :) It's very colorful which I really like. Plus I love the color red.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful photo. Sounds like you have been going on a lot of cool hikes lately. If only I had the energy on a Sunday morning, I would start hiking with the Sierra Club again. Instead I am living vicariously through your tweets on your hikes. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Girasoli, thanks so much for your comments. The one think I look forward to is the great breakfast we get to treat ourselves with afterwards. :) That's cool that you used to be with the Sierra Club. I'm glad you like my tweets, sometimes I don't know what to tweet about. I find it fun though. I love reading your tweets too. There was one tweet I remember you writing during baseball season that had me rolling. It was something like "Boo NYankees, I loathe you". That had me in stitches it was so funny. Thanks again for your comments and have a great Superbowl Sunday.
