I'm not a Knucklehead . . .

All work and no play had me bumming a lot lately. But luckily, I crashed into an old friend last week who first called me a knucklehead and then gave me that much needed Life is Too Short reminder!

Although things are still pretty stressful and chaotic at the moment, I’ve decided to kick my shoes off (Photo was taken in Amsterdam during a Windmill & Cheesemaking tour - thinking of a co-worker friend of mine made me think of this trip)for a fresh new outlook. I'm so happy to return to reading my favorite blogs and getting inspired again.

So I guess it isn't necessarily a bad thing to be called a knucklehead.

  2. Those are some HUGE shoes! Glad you are back blogging. I sympathize with your stressful chaotic life at the moment. Even though I was just on break a week ago, it seems like months ago already. I hope we will all continue to inspire you :)

  3. Hi Candi, thanks for the welcome back. I love those big shoes too. :) I thought of it because of the weight of work that has been keeping me so busy. Things are still pretty hectic (although not as bad as it was the past couple of weeks), but thanks to my old friend I have a better outlook on how to deal with that stress. Funny that it sometimes takes someone else to point something out to us.

Hi Girasoli, thanks so much. I hope things are okay with you. I know tht feeling about time flying by. My friend called me a knucklehead because of my break from blogging. The advise...life is too short and I needed to continue to do the things that I enjoy doing.

Thanks again for your comments Candi and Girasoli. Have a great week!

  5. Hi Sandra, thanks so much for liking my photo and big massive shoes. I almost didn't post it because of the dorkie fanny pack (LOL) but it went so well with the theme of my post and what I was feeling. Amsterdam suddenly has entered my trip thoughts and is now in a struggle with Italy for my next adventure. :)

Thanks so much for your comments and I wish you and your famiy a very Happy Easter too.

  6. I love your cool (and funny!) photo with the big clogs! This picture reminds me of the one we took of Pablo in Madurodam, which is a miniature city in the Netherlands. I’ll have to dig it up…

I hope things are slowing down a bit.

  8. Hi Maria, I'm glad you like my funny photo with the big clogs! I looked up Madurodam on google as I had not heard of that city before. Very cool!. I'd love to see that photo if you can find it. I just remember the last time you were kind enough to share one of your memorable family travel photos of Pablo, it had such an inspired impact on me I ended up in beautiful Spain. :)

Work has slowed down a bit but may pick up again in another month with the new fiscal year starting in July, so for now I'm really enjoying catching my breath.

Thanks so much for your comments Maria. Happy Easter to you and your family.

  9. Heya Knucklehead (not!) lol That is funny. Gotta love friends who give us much needed slaps upside the head when we need them! Kudos to yours for kickstarting you back into gear :) Glad you are back. I knew you were back to reading, but thought you were still on writing break...just thought I'd check today and see - and voila! I see all kinds of entries! Yay for your return :)

  10. Hi Anne, LOL! I'm grateful to my old friend too. It's funny that we haven't seen each other in years and to slap me upside the head like that for the first time seeing me was awesome! :) Just what I needed as you said. He, he.

It's great to be back. More than writing, I missed reading everyone's blog the most.

Thanks so much for your comments. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
