  2. Hi Kathy, I love your recap video. Loved how the year started with "Yes We Can"! I had to smile when I saw my couscous salad and thought about all the crazy things that happened when you made it. And was that Prince or the fake Prince?

Glad to read that you had a good time in Vegas - really sounds like a lot of fun. I'm been having a great time this week; the nephews came for a sleepover a couple of nights ago and we watched Harry Potter movies 4 and 5. They love Harry and so do I. And I took them to visit the cat Refuge; that was a lot of fun too.

Best wishes for a wonderful New Year!

  5. Happy New Year everyone!

Candi, glad you enjoyed the recap video. I was just going to post a photo of my bottle of Scotch Whisky but the impulse to do another youtube was just to great. :)

I hope 2010 is just as fabulous, healthy and exciting for you too! Enjoy your first day in 2010! Wow, how strange to even write it down.

Annie, thanks so much for your comments. I'm so glad you loved my video and I thought it was appropriate to start 2009's recap with one of the most important events that took place.... I just had to add your couscous salad because it is one of my most memorable cooking le oops...it was very delicious even with my little mistake but I still smile thinking about it. The photo in the video is of Fake Prince and the Fake Group, The Time. :)

How cool that you had your nephews for a sleep over this week. It must of been so much fun to have them and spend it watching your favorite movies. And I bet they really loved visiting the cat refuge with you too. I'm getting pretty excited about my plans to finally get little Ronda this year...maybe little Lola too.:) All the best to you and your family in 2010! Enjoy your first day in 2010! I'm spending it making my final two SSB dishes, while watching the Rose Bowl Parade...and then off for a ride at the beach, an annual tradition.

Barb, Happy New Year to you too. And may your 2010 year be filled with lots of great things with the wonderful people in your life and many happiness.

Girasoli, glad you liked my video. I couldn't resist! :) Wishing you and your family all the best in 2010 too! BTW, I forgot to tell you that I did ask someone in the hotel on the Isle of Skye about the markings on the Sheep that you saw on my video from Scotland and the markings are in fact to identify who they belong to. I can understand that because the Sheep would freely roam all over the place, even in the roads and to me they all look alike so the markings would really help. The funny thing is I saw a sheep with a red and green marking, so I wondered if he/she belonged to two owners... :) Enjoy your first day in 2010!

  6. Kathy, I can’t see the video due to a slow connection but I’ll come back to this post when I return home on the 7th.

Just wanted to wish you again a fabulous 2010. May it bring you much happiness and new adventures.

Take care and enjoy the weekend!

  7. Hi, me again. :)

Forgot to tell you that I love the photo of the month. A real cutie! Her bangs look almost like mine, in real need of a good trim!

I got a kick out of the message in French that appears on the top of your blog each time I hit the post button. It says: Il sera visible une fois que le propriétaire du blog l’aura approuvé. This is the only part in French, the rest is the same. Funny, no?

  8. Hi Maria, Happy New Year to you and your Husband in Paris! I saw some coverage of Paris at Midnight and thought of you and your husband, no doubt drinking Champaign and celebrating along with everyone else.

I'm glad you like my Highland Cow...I really love seeing her so much, that I didn't want to change my photo yet. I know what you mean about long bangs. I like to trim mine's too. :)

It's so funny that our blogs can have some french on it. That is so cool! I bet you're having so much fun practicing your french. I'm sure you're no longer responding back in Italian now.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your vacation to read and comment on my blog. Hope you had a great time on the first day of 2010!

I look forward to reading your blog for any updates. Keep on enjoying yourselves in beautiful Paris.

  11. Hi M, Happy New Year to you too! I'm so glad you liked my little video. It's a little hobby of mine. :) You can easily do one too, because with the programs out there its very user friendly. I actually think picking out the photos is the hardest part in the process.

Hope you are having a wonderful New Year's Holiday weekend! Have a great day today!

  12. What a great video, Kathy, capturing so many highlights of 2009. But how did you get the photo of the guy at the urinal? And are we counting that as a highlight? :)

It's great to see so many of your photos from Scotland again, what a wonderful trip that must have been.

I hope you have many more adventures in 2010!

  13. Hi Sandra, alas . . . the urinal scene was captured by a friend. It was during our B2V race. I used it in our team video because we thought it would be funny and it was! :) Therefore, the highlight wasn't him (although I'm sure he might think otherwise) but more the highlight was the team event and the laughs we all had....I decided to slip this photo because I was sort of feeling silly at the time I was making it. :)

Thank you so much for your kind comments. It felt really great re-visiting Scotland again in my photos. I really have to work on them so I can upload them to ST soon.

I wish you many wonderful adventures and fabulous experiences in 2010 too!

  15. Hi Anne, thanks so much for your comments. Glad you liked my vide and I too love that orange truck (one of the more creative and colorful cars in the parade).

    Have a great day today!

  16. Thanks for checking on the sheep markings. Interesting. I too wonder about the two color markings. Perhaps it is a custody battle - divorce and both are claiming rights to the sheep?
