PhotoHunt: Upside Down

While doing a 10K race here in LA, I stopped to take a photo of this amazing street performer doing a one hand upside down stand! And as you can see in the background, I wasn't the only one who was taken by this performer.

  1. Wow Kathy, that is perfect for this theme. Like how you captured the other photographer doing his own little pose.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Oh I like this take on the theme. This is definitely different - both the performer and the photographer. Great capture.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. That is talent (well, strength for sure . . .) I couldn't do that if I were paid!

Perfect shot for this week's theme.

    Have a great weekend.

  6. Hi Everyone, thanks so much for your comments...

Barb, thanks, glad you like it! :)

Leslie, thanks I was lucky to be there when he did this amazing move.

Amy, it was fun watching these amazing performers.

Annie, glad you liked it. And I thought the photographer's positioning to capture the performer was interesting too! :)

Marta, glad you liked my take. When I saw the photo with the photographer in the background I thought it was a cool addition. :)

Cindy, thanks... I was far from winning, so I took my time and watched these amazing dancers peform. It was worth the delay in crossing the finish. :)

Jerry, yes I agree. This takes such amazing upper body strength and balance. All the dancers did these moves without their legs touching the ground once. Great talent and fitness.

Deborah, thanks. Glad you liked my take and I agree, this is a pretty amazing upside down move.

Travelingsuep, glad you liked the shot!

Thanks again everyone. This was a really fun theme this week. Hope you all have a great Sunday!

  7. That is one great shot of an amazing street performer! I love watching and photographing buskers (I learned this word from Sandra) especially when I'm traveling.

    Have a great week!

  9. Hi Maria, thanks for liking my photo. I had to look up Buskers on google and this is so funny but on the Wikipedia page describing buskers as street peformers I saw a photo of the trio of performers I photographed performing in front of the Prague castle! What a cool word (thanks from me too Sandra). I love watching Buskers while traveling too.

Hi Maya, thanks for liking my photo and take. I have a habit of carrying a tiny camera with me at all times. Once I forgot to take it and wouldn't you know I came across the most interesting photo opp. While running along the beach there was this lady walking (of all things) her pet Tortoise. I was so bummed that I didn't have my camera to take a photo. I haven't seen this person since... Now I try not to forget my camera. I think some of the best subjects occur spontaneously...

Thanks again Maria & Maya for your comments and for liking my photo. Have a great day today.
