PhotoHunt: Ripples

Water is an architectural element that brought cool sensory pleasure to the palace and gardens of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. Here you can see Ripples in one of the many soothing water fountains in the General Life Gardens.

Want to hear it too . . . (More to come!)

  3. I'm so glad to see you selected a photo from your trip to Spain. When I was looking for my PH photo last night, I almost picked a photo from the Alcazar in Seville but it got voted down by the Venice one. I remember the fountains in the Alhambra. Your photo and cool video brought back many sweet memories. Love how clear you captured the sound of water falling in the fountain. Great choice, Kathy!

Have a great weekend. I hope the weather has cooled down a bit for you. We got a big monsoon storm last night and it is supposed to be below 100 today and tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

  8. Hi Everyone, thank you so much for your comments. I thought there were a lot of cool photos and unique takes on this week's theme and it was fun to see everyone's photos.

Maria, when I saw the theme I had two ideas too. One local shot from here and Spain. Well, there was no contest which photo would stand out! :) Alcazar was beautiful in Seville, but I can see how it got out voted seeing that the competition was Venice! That was a beautiful shot! I also love the sounds that water makes. Very calming effect.

Have a great weekend too! It was cool this past week, but it is a little warmer today. As soon as I got home on went the AC. Too bad about the mansoon, but glad that your temps will hopefully dip below 100. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too.

Marta, I love the sounds that water makes too. There's something relaxing about it. And so I can certainly see why thee were so many around the Palace and gardens. It seems that everywhere I turned there was water.

Candi, glad you liked the shot. There were so many beautiful fountains there it was hard to select just one.

Girasoli, glad you liked my photo and the accompanying audio. It was fun recreating the experience as much as I could. :)

Eden, yes you are right. In fact, I made sure to relax a bit (and not rush through) so I could enjoy the ambience! It was is a very cool and relaxing place to be for sure.

Thanks again everyone for your comments. Another fun theme! Surprise will be pretty interesting and fun too! :)
