She dreamed a dream . . . .

I heard of Susan Boyle from my blogging friends in my last post and last night I watched her sing in Britain's She's Got Talent 6 times already! Her story is what dreams are made of and I was so moved that I had to join Jane and Jerry by posting on my own blog about her. You delivered in your promise to not only make the audience in that theatre Rock but you made the world Rock!!

Thank you Susan Boyle!

  1. Her story is very interesting and it's really heartening to see the success of someone who doesn't fit the conventions of today's singing superstars. It seems that in general, there is only one look, or one style, of woman allowed to be a singing star (ie skinny with straight blonde hair -- I'm imagining Celine Dion.) Talent almost seems secondary.

Susan certainly doesn't fit that mold and I hope this works out well for her!

  4. Hi Annie, I totally loved it!! An awesome feel good story.

BTW, I loved your purple photohunt. I haven't yet found mine. I wonder if I can get away with putting a photo of the cool one with the song title Purple Rain. That would be too much of a stretch, I think. :)

    Have a great weekend too!

  5. Kathy, I don't think the Cool One would be a stretch at all...everyone knows that he wrote Purple Rain and I think it would be such a unique take on the theme!

I look forward to buying Susan Boyle's first album. And I need to get on google and find a photo of her cat, Pebbles! :)

  6. Hi Annie, that would be a cute take on the theme! And I do love that song. Let's see where my inspriation will take me...

I would totally buy her first CD too! I must have listened to the Youtube about 10 times now! They need to get her to record this song and fast. I just love her performance of that song!

Annie, that would be so awesome to see Pebbles! Such a cute name too! Someone needs to do an interview with her with Pebbles, that would be so cute. I wonder if Oprah or Ellen could do one. That would be so great!

Hmm, I do have a blurry photo of Prince with purple streamers coming down but the photo qualify is very bad.

You know, I just felt inspired with and Idea while writing this. Now I've got to find that photo! Thanks for the pep talk and inspiration Annie! I think I might have something! Have a great evening!

  7. Hi Kathy, I was so moved by Susan Boyle's story too! My dad sent me the video link, and I was pretty choked up by the end, I found it so heartwarming :) I really hope her success continues. I'll buy her CD if she makes one!

I am slowly catching up on blogs. In a way, it's hard to get back after such an absence, I feel so out of the loop with everyone because have been so self centred the past couple months! I imagine I'll soon feel reconnected though :)
