Granada, Spain: The Alhambra . . .

In the next couple of days, I'll post a couple of entries on the Jewel of Andalusia, "The Alhambra". In my opinion, there are a select number of things and/or places on this earth that one must experience in order to really get the full understanding of their appeal! I would definitely say that the magnificent Alhambra is one of them . . .

  1. Awesome slide show, Kathy! You really got some wonderful photos. Love the amazing detail of some of that gorgeous old stonework. Love the window views too. It really is a magically beautiful place!

    Happy President's Day to you!

  4. Cool slideshow. I loved the photos, especially the ones with the reflection in the water. Great job adding the poem. Was that your voice?

  6. Thank you for this, Kathy. I find the Alhambra so fascinating (I've even bought Washington Irving's book but haven't had a chance to get into yet.)

You must have loved your visit there, it's so mysterious and exotic!

  7. Hi Girasoli, thanks for your comments. Yes, the reflection photos are one of my favorites. The voice isn't mine. I actually added the poem from the audio guide that I got. I thought it was pretty cool, so I thought I would use it in my Intro video. :)

Thanks for your comments. Have a great day Girasoli!

  8. Hi Anne, glad you enjoyed the video. The Alhambra still makes me speechless and so that's why I thought I'd use the poem to explain itself. I figure I couldn't do it justice! :)

Hope your mom enjoys the clip. I'm sure she has some very fond memories of her visit to this magnificent place.

Thanks for your comments Anne. Have a great week!

  9. Hi Sandra, the Alhambra is very fascinating. To this day I have a hard time describing my experience and the things that I saw. I got Irving's book too when I was there because the audio guide included some of what he wrote about in his book and I found it really interesting. Hope you like the book.

I did love my visit there. Very few places make me speechless like the Alhambra did. Very mysterious and exotic is right.

Thanks so much for your comments Sandra. Hope you have a great day!
