AI Rocked this season . . .

Tonight David A went to his strengths and was flawless! David C's performance was outstanding as usual, but I think he fell short in his song selections.

No matter who wins AI this season, I think both Davids will go on to have brilliant careers in music!

Once again, here are my stand outs for the season: David A, David C, Brooke, Carley, Michael Johns and Rocker Nurse Amanda!

And that's my final recap! Keep on rocking AI and see you all next season . . .

  1. I agree completely with you Kathy. No matter what happens tonight, they are both winners and will go on to have great careers.

Looking at your stand-out list, I really think that Amanda was sent home too soon. Other than that, I think America got it right most of the time.

    Have a good week!

  2. Hi Annie! Did you see how David C cried and how David A's eyes welled up? It's been a long tough road for both of them and I'm sure that their emotions must be over the top.

Well, whether or not he wins Idol, I can pretty much say with great certainty that David C won't be bartending any more! :)

I think Rocker Amanda was robbed of going on the AI Tour over the summer. She would have been a definite crowd favorite!

By the way, the photos of Maria and your nephew that you posted are sooooo cute!

Have a nice week and weekend too!

  3. Yes I did see them get choked up - I bet in a way, it will be a relief to have it all be over tonight.

Agree about David C! I read somewhere that he is an excellent songwriter too - hope he gets the chance to put some of his own songs on his first album.

Thanks - Maria and Mason are both dolls! I've never had a kitten before so this is going to be an adventure!

You have a nice holiday weekend too!

  4. Hi Annie, I think you're going to have a great time raising little Maria! She sounds like a darling little kitten.

Wasn't it cool that David C won it! I really thought that David A was going to win it, but like you said they are both winners.

It was also great seeing all the contestants back on stage.

Enjoy the extra day off this weekend!

  5. I was so happy for him! It was a fun finale. I was cracking up when they brought that "I am your brother" guy back with a complete marching band! And I thought that Gladys Knight and the Pips skit was funny too.

And I was so happy for Brooke to get to sing with Graham Nash; I'm sure that was a dream come true for her (and I love that song).

I was really kind of surprised that David C won by 12 million votes - I thought it would be closer. Oh well, it's been a really good season and I'll be curious to see how everyone's careers go after this.

    Happy Memorial Day!

  6. Annie, that's too funny that you mentioned the Gladys Knights skit. I loved that too and even downloaded it from itunes! I also downloaded the Niel Diamond Melody too. I wish they could've done a Prince Melody video, that would've been very cool!:)

And I also loved seeing Brooke with Grahmn Nash. That's the type of genre that suits her. I think she's awesome and will be successful as well. It was also cool seeing Rocker Nurse Amanda and Michael Johns back to perform.

Like you said a great finale! Now I'm going to be like you waiting for your Tar Heels . . . Season 8 can't come soon enough for me!

  7. had my heart set on David A winning but knowing that he also got a recording contract and a car didn't make the loss such a bad thing.

i really liked the sayesha/donna summers and graham nash/brooke duets the best. it seems that the talent gets better each season (not to mention the backup singers and the band)

remember in the first season when the only accompaniment the contestants had was a guy playing the piano?

  8. Hi JeanV :) I missed the Sayesha Donna Summer song because I didn't realize AI started at 8:00 rather than 9:00 and I was preoccupied watching the Laker Western Conference Finals. What can I say?

But I did come to my senses in time to watch the Nash/Brooke Duet (and the rest of the show. I though Nash/Brook were and I think it's funny that she always has her shoes off, but I'm sure they gave her a great pedicure before the show! :)

Thanks so much for jumping in Sis! Enjoy the long weekend!
