I finally got my AI groove back and wanted to do a quick recap of the first live performances of Season 12. I'm posting this a little late because I accidentally reverted it to draft form after it was published. For some reason, all of my Idol logos were deleted on all of my AI posts so I had to go back and put the logo back in all of them. Whew! It surprised me to learn that I did 67 AI posts. 
Last night we heard the ladies perform live for our precious votes. Supposedly, they are supposed to be stronger than the boys this year, but I think it's much too early to make that assumption. As far as last night went, I was pretty surprised that I didn't have the same opinions as the judges. They raved about a couple of contestants who I thought did poor. I did, however, agree with their raves over Candice, Kree and Angie.

Best Performance of the Night: Candice Glover sang "Ordinary People" and had by far the best vocal performance of the night. I loved it!
Very Good: Kree Harrison, Angie Miller, Aubrey Cleland, Breanna Steer
Just Okay: Teena Torres, Janelle Arthur, Amber Holcomb, Adreana Latonio
Bombed: Zoanette Johnson
And I just love my American Idol App which makes it easier for me to cast my 50 votes online! :) And here's how I voted!
An AI App, how cool! I tried to watch this week but fell asleep both nights. I only saw the first two girls and then last night, I only saw that poor boy who about had a nervous breakdown. So I'm out of the AI loop.
ReplyDeleteI still don't know about the judges. Some of the comments that Nikki makes are simply weird as heck (I'm obsessed with you -???). Mariah is very similar to JLO (the nice one). I like Keith Urban!

Hi Annie, the app is very cool. Now I don't have to type my votes 50 times. I can just put my votes where I want them and hit one button at the end of the show and voila. And yes poor Charlie. I think he took it hard because I think he thought he did great and was sort of surprised when the comments. I liked his early auditions but somehow I do agree with Nikki on this one, he sort of changed and it wasn't for the good. I feel bad but I hope he does not move on then we might have another Sanjaya.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Nikki says some off the wall things. Totally agree that Mariah is the nice one like you said. I like looking at Keith. :) And he does give some good remarks. I still miss Steven Tyler and JLO, but I'm still enjoying watching the talent.
