Saturday's PhotoHunting: On a Shelf

Memories on a shelf . . .

I see the mighty bull fighter from Spain, my Venetian mask from Venice, my edelweiss music box from Salzburg and my cute Highland cow from Scotland . . .  Most of my memories are a part of me, some are memorialized in photos/videos and every now and then I like to pick up a few touristy souvenirs just because they are cheap, dorky, fun and cute.  This shelf is pretty full but I think there's room for maybe a miniature tango dancing couple, an ice glacier, or a huge waterfall! He, he.

My apologies for being so late this week but I'm recovering from a bad cold.  Kind of a bummer but I'm just thankful that it's now rather than 11 days from now).  Actually, while in bed I looked over at my memory shelf and got this week's theme.  So as you can see I can still be productive even when sick. Ha. ha.

  3. Hi Kathy, so sorry that you've been sick and I hope you'll be feeling much better soon. 11 days, so exciting! I can't wait to see what you add to your travel memory shelf. I love dorky tourist souvenirs too. You've got some classic ones!

Rest up and hope you are feeling better already!

  4. That's a good idea to make a memory shelf ! I too had a bad cold and stil it's not completely gone. No wonder one day it's warm one day it's freezing cold !

  5. Hi Kathy, I'm so sorry to hear that you've been sick - but as you say, better now than just before you leave. Only 11 days (or even less by the time you read this!) to go - how exciting!!!

  6. Hi girls, thanks so much for your comments....

Dora, thanks for liking my travel collection of memories. I like it a lot too. :)

Annie, yes this cold has cut into my packing plans this weekend. :) Luckily I did a lot last weekend. I'm looking forward to adding to my dorky tourist travel memory shelf too. :) I feel better today, but will still take it easy. I was watching the news about the big storm on the east coast. Looks kind of bad on the news. I hope that you will not be impacted by it. Hope you and the girls are safe. Sending my thoughts to all of you in the storms path. Take care.

Gattina, glad you like my memory shelf. I think the weird weather got to me too. It's been hot and cold here as well and the cold finally caught up to me. :( Hope you feel better soon.

Sandra, thanks so much. I feel bummed to have caught this cold but am really glad it's now then later. :) It's pretty exciting and I'm looking so forward my adventures in Argentina. I feel a little better today so will try to do a bit more packing.

Thank you so much everyone for your comments. Take care.

  7. Hi Kathy, thanks for your thoughts about the storm. It looks like I'm far enough away from the coast that it won't be bad in my area. It's cloudy and a little bit windy but it's not even raining. Sounds like it will be worse for the people further north in the New York area. It's a big scary storm! I appreciate your good wishes! Hope your cold is on its way out!
