So what's wrong with the automobile shown in the photo below . . . .
Well, it's a little too small for my taste. Ha, ha!
I took this photo in the city of The Hague at a really cool tourist attraction called Madurodam. It's a miniature city which looks pretty realistic. It had amazing detail, moving parts and even noise accompaniment.

Today at work I was so lucky to witness Space Shuttle Endeavour's last flight ever as she flew over downtown Los Angeles. It was an incredible experience to witness it so up close as it flew only 1,500 feet above ground level.
I literally jumped up and down, whoo hoo'd and waved up toward the sky. Of all days to forget my iPhone at home. Luckily my co-worker (thanks JZ) had her phone and was able to snap a shot of Endeavour on her historic last flight! Thank you Endeavour!
I love miniature worlds... went to a great miniature museum in Taipei and really enjoyed my visit to Miniaturk in Istanbul. Thanks for sharing the shots of one in Amsterdam. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd what a cool sky spotting you made at work! :b
Hi YTSL, me too. Maybe one day I'll get a chance to visit more on future trips. I would love to visit Turkey and Asia. Glad you liked the photos. Yes, I had a great sky spotting today at work. It was so cool! :)
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Love the details of the miniature scene. The trees and the buildings... wow!
ReplyDeleteI was at Miniland in Legoland Malaysia and I was awed by the mini replicas of famous Asian landmarks. The creators and designers are so creative and talented.
Hi ECL, you're so right. The details right down to the trees are pretty incredible. While there I saw some people working on one section.Such patience, creativity and skills. One of my fav toys, I think it would be so cool to see Legoland Malaysia. We have one here I think near San Diego, but I have not been yet.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend and enjoy this weekend's event.
How cute a mini car in a mini town !
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you were able to see the space shuttle! (And I also like the miniature village.)
ReplyDeleteHi girls, thanks so much for your comments....
ReplyDeleteGattina, I think my mini car and town looks cute too. :)
Sandra, I was so thrilled and was surprised how really exciting I got as soon as I saw it. Very thrilling. Thanks so liking my miniature village too. :)
Thanks Gattina and Sandra. Hope you all have a great week.
That little village is so good (and so realistic I might not have even known).
ReplyDeleteAnd that is so cool that you were so close to the space shuttle. Love the pics of that too.
Hope you had a great weekend!
Hi again, after I left my comment I saw this on Flickr - more space shuttle pics. So cool!

Hi Annie, thanks so much for your comments. The little village does look so real. It could even pass for my street in Amsterdam, it looked so real. I was so excited to see the shuttle and was surprised when I jumped up and down and waved. It was very instinctual. :)
ReplyDeleteI really wished I had my camera that day and then I didn't even have my iphone. Luckily my co-worker had her phone and snapped this photo then sent me a copy. :)
Wow, the photos above the Golden Gate Bridge is so beautiful. What a perfect shot! I heard that in some parts like by the observatory, people camped out just to score a great vantage point. If I had the day off I would have gone to LAX to try to catch it landing. I do feel lucky that it flew by my workplace so I still got to see it fly by. Very exciting. Thanks so much for sharing the link. The photographer did a great job in capturing Endeavour over the Golden Gate Bridge. Wow.
Have a wonderful week.
Wicked photos!! Love the miniature city, how cool is that? And what a thrill to see the Endeavour's last flight!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend! :D
Hi Anne, thanks so much for liking my photos. Yes, it was very cool and exciting to have seen Endeavour's last flight. Couldn't believe my luck that it flew right above us at work.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend too.
