Saturday's PhotoHunting: Animal

I really enjoy taking photos of all the wonderful animals that I get to meet while traveling.

It took a lot to resist posting yet another one of my beautiful Highland Cow photos from Scotland or more recently a photo of my little hiking buddy from Italy.  But for this entry, I thought I would feature this group of turtles playing in their private little pond.

Well, actually. . . it's not quite so private.

Their home can be found here in one of the coolest train stations that I have ever passed through while traveling, the Madrid Atocha Train Station  in Spain.

  1. What a surprise that second photo was! I never would have guessed that those cute turtles were in a train station. Very cool.

Love your take on the theme and have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Annie, thanks so much for liking my cute turtles. They do have a cool home even if it is in a Train station. And it gives us travelers something fun and cute to look at while we wait. :)

    Have a great weekend too!

  6. That's a great train station and I love the turtles. I think I accidentally left a comment here that I meant to go in another comment box. I'm not very good at multi-tasking.

  9. Hi everyone, thanks so much for your comments.

Life Ramblings, that station with the plants and turtle pond really made the time fly by and they also had a nice eating area right in the middle.

YTSL, you're right. I actually think that the station is sort of on the tourist radar because it is pretty unique.

Carver, no worries. I've actually deleted someone's published comments accidently twice. My clicking finger seems to have a mind of it's own sometimes.:) I'm glad that you like my photo and it was fun taking photos of those cool turtles. And it was a really pretty pond.

Luna, those turtles were definitely cute to watch. One of them seem to look right up at my camera.:)

Gengen, that was very creative and unique to build a turtle pond in the middle of a train station and I found it really cool and interesting.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Have a wonderful weekend.

  10. These turtles are so cute !! I have seen them once in a hotel entrance, but people fed them with bread that's certainly not good !

  15. Hi Raine, yes that station offers travelers more of a relaxing and pleasant wait time than most train stations. Made the time go by fast that's for sure.
