An almost square sign for the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena positioned below a not so square Fondamenta De La Maddalena sign . . . but located on a few perfectly square white stones in Venice, Italy.
To my surprise, I had a difficult time finding photos with perfectly shaped squares in them. Thankfully, I went to my Italy library and voila...

A great find for the theme and from Venice too. I'm skipping this week's PH cause I didn't have time to look; I agree that it's a hard theme, most things are rectangles.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hi Annie, thanks so much for your comments and for liking my photo. I can relate to the time constraints. I was really stuck on this one and actually did 3 different drafts but because this was taken in Venice . . . it was my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend too!
Don't worry Kathy, you did good. Interesting, seems like quite a few Photo Hunters found this a hard theme. I must admit I didn't -- though I did immediately eliminate all my hiking photos as squares are hard to find in nature! ;b
ReplyDeleteNice choice, Kathy! This week's theme was difficult for me too - Venice pulls through once again!
ReplyDeleteHi Girls, thanks so much for your comments . . .
ReplyDeleteYTSL, yes I think squares is a very difficult (in fact most well defined shapes is difficult to find) in nature. One of the things I love about PH, is it makes me think about the photos I take and have taken and what makes them interesting or not so interesting. :)
M, yes "she" pulled through for me again! I'm not sure why I had such a hard time with the theme , maybe I'm just not attracted to squares or something. :)
Thanks so much for your comments YTSL & M, have a great weekend!
this is an interesting find and you're right, it's a tough theme this week but glad i was able to find a few photos that would work for the theme.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, you may have found the theme difficult but you found a good match. The topic made me realize I didn't really take very many pictures of Public Squares in Europe.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your weekend. We have our first visitor here in Perth, my cousin, and we are enjoying some perfect Autumn weather.
Hi Maya, thanks so much for your comments and for liking my pic. I love the public squares, piazzas, platz's... in Europe. We don't have places like those as much here. I think the beach would probably the most public gathering place around my neck of the woods.....I think that's cool that you have your first visitor in your new home. Hope you all have a wonderful family get together.
