. . . a mail box located in Piazza San Pietro in the Vatican City in Rome, Italy.
I thought it would be so cool to get something in the mail from Vatican City, so I mailed myself this postcard.

I had to giggle at the comments I wrote to myself. :)

What a great idea, and perfect fit for the photohunt theme!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, thanks for liking my photo and take. :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a souvenier; I wish I'd thought of that when I was in Rome! Perfect for the letters theme. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, thanks for liking my take on the theme. My friend was mailing a postcard to her husband and I was sending one to my sister and I thought it would be fun since I didn't have a husband :) to just mail one to myself. I'm glad that I did. I really love the stamp that's on it. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend too!
Ha! I chose a Vatican photo too! You and Ty share the same passion for mailing postcards to oneself I see:-) Great sequence of choices, K. Hope the trip planning is going well.
ReplyDeleteHi M, thanks for liking my photo and postcard. That's very cool that Ty likes to do the same. I only wish that I had written something a little more insightful to myself. :) Oh well, maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteTrip planning is going very well, thank you. As always I'm overwhelmed with the information but very excited at the same time. Everyone here has been so helpful and generous with their experiences, tips and advice and I'm loving it. Marta did a couple of awesome and informative posts that I've been reading and I'm trying to find them to update my google map. It's so much fun.
Great! I've always wanted to mail myself something from the vatican but never have (generally I am too winded from climbing to the roof to remember).
ReplyDeleteHave a brilliant weekend.
Very cool -- I've always wanted to send postcards through the Vatican mail, and have just never bothered.
ReplyDeleteNext time!
Hi Jerry, thanks for liking my photo. This is a special one for me because of where it came from. For me, I have not made that climb yet because the times I've been in Rome I didn't even know about it. I would like to do that next time. Have a wonderful weekend too.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, I'm glad you liked the idea. On your next trip to Roma you definitely should do it too.
Thanks Jerry & Sandra for your comments. Hope you have a great Sunday.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI love that you mailed yourself a postcard from the Vatican! I collect postcards and have never thought of doing that!
Trying to finally get back into this blogging thing. Hope all is well with you.
:) girasoli
p.s. I love your new blog design :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI'm getting around a little late this week. I love your photo choice for the week--perfect. Sending yourself a post card was such a creative idea. I hope your week is going well.
Hi Girasoli and Maya, thanks so much for liking my postcard idea. It was fun to get mail from Vatican City. :)
ReplyDeleteG, I actually added this new feature called pages at the top. I tried a one of their new designs for a little while but in the end I couldn't get used to it so finally figured out how to go back to the original :). I'm changing photo of the month to Travel Thought for a change. :)
Maya, no worries...I really enjoy reading your comments anytime. I've been reading your entries too on Google reader and have been behind myself on commenting. Some weekend activities have cut into my blog reading so I try to do it in the morning before heading to work. :)
Thanks G and Maya, have a great day girls.
I got the pages figured out if you ever want to try it again. I have been doing a class blog for school the past 3 years using blogger. I start a new blog every year and was surprised by the additions/changes with blogger this summer when I went to start my new blog. I played around for a while and have added 1 extra page/link. It is useful for stuff/info you want to keep and have easier access to.
ReplyDeleteHi G, thanks so much for your comments. That's cool that you create a new blog for each school year. That must be fun. I did manage to do the static pages but couldn't get used to a new template design. And while changing, I accidently deleted my Twitter Update widget... oops! I like all the new features that Blogger has added. I especially love the SPAM filter. :)
