  1. Thanks for posting this. I had forgotten about the NBA Finals. We will be in the outback for most the games, but will be home for the Finals. They are good about showing these things live here, and it looks like I won't have to get up to early to watch the game.

  2. Woo Hoo! I am ready!

I remember all of those Lakers-Celtics games with Magic and Larry!

    Let the games begin!

  3. Enjoyed the video! Even though I am not a huge basketball fan, I have to root for the Celtics. My mom was the huge Celtics fan in my family so I grew up with lots of Celtics talk and all the games on TV. Besides, rooting for the Lakers would be just like rooting for the Yankees.

  4. As I told Menehune, I always pull for the pro teams who have former Tar Heels on them, and both the Lakers and the Celtics have a Heel. Rasheed Wallace for the Celtics and Mitch Kupchak is GM for the Lakers. So go Celtics and Lakers! Have fun watching the games.

  5. Hi Everyone, thanks so much for your comments.

Maya, have fun on your trip to the outback. As a true fan of this long standing rivalry, it would be so cool to see this series go to game 7. That's very cool that the time difference will allow you to see the games live. :) Safe travels and have a fun trip.

Nancy, whoo hoo is right. I loved the time when Magic and Larry were on the teams. It was pardon the pun . . . "magic". Last night was great! But the lakers had the home court advantage and had a tougher road to the finals whereas the celtics breezed through. I know that they will make adjustments so I hope our Lakers will do the same and be ready. Should be a great series. Enjoy the games Nancy.

Girasoli, that's so cool that your mom was a huge celtics fan. And yes you must definitely root for your Mom's Celtics team. I wonder if the rilvary between the Lakers and Celtics is as strong as between your Sox and Yankees. It will be a great series and may the best team win whether it be the Lakers or your Mom's Celtics. Enjoy the games.

Hi Annie, I didn't know that Mitch and Rasheed Wallace are former Tar Heels. That's very cool. I would love for the finals to go to Game 7 because it's fun to watch these two teams play. I think this will be a great series and one that all Laker and Celtics fans will totally enjoy. :)

Thanks again everyone and hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  6. Hi K: At least you didn't rub salt in the wound (Celtic loss):-) And, in answer to your question about the Celtic/Laker rivalry being as intense as the Sox/Yankees? Well, it's intense but on a more sedate level....I actually saw that shot on TV the night of the game and laughed then as I did reading your blog...Wishing the Celtics do better Sunday.m

  7. Hi M, thanks for the info on the rivalry answer. Interesting to know.

Although last night's victory was great, I haven't been jumping up and down yet because I know the series is far from over and your Celtics are very talented and it will be a tough series and either Team can win it.

Good luck tomorrow night. :) Enjoy the game. I wonder if Chris Rock will have his same seat. He, he.

  8. K: I hope you watched the game tonight (Thursday). The outcome was great for Celtics, but the entire game was a great take! Lakers and Celtics - a good thing.

  9. Hi M, yes I watched last night's game. It's a great series and I'm enjoying the competition a lot. Each team that deserved to win, won their games based upon their performance. This series is the way a final NBA game should be. I hope it goes to 7 games. That would be very cool! :)

Enjoy Sunday's game! Have a great weekend.

  10. Funny shot! I remember the announcers commenting about Chris Rock and how Kobe was in the zone and ignoring him completely. It really is a good series with both teams pretty equally matched.

  11. Hi Girasoli, yes that was pretty funny. I have to say that I'm enjoying this series too. It's not a big blow out by either team and it is making the games more exciting.

Thanks so much for your comments and enjoy the game today.
