I think I would much rather encounter the cute sheep (which won't give me any kind of disease) and the pretty Highland cows (which I totally "know" I can out run more than a Mountain Lion) that I encountered while visiting Scotland. And how can I resist not giving you a short preview of my Scotland souvenirs. :)
By my early post, you can probably tell that I'm so glad to be back on PhotoHunt!

Perfect take on this theme, Kathy. Ticks are definitely undesirable. Nasty creatures!
ReplyDeleteI love your Scotland animals - those bangs are too cute on the cow and the sheep looks like she's got a tutu on. Can't wait to see what else you brought home.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Hi Annie, thanks so much for your comments. I agree with you about those nasty Ticks.
ReplyDeleteI' m glad you like my cow and sheep. They were so cute I just had to get them. I even brought them home in my carry on backpack. :) I like my cows hair too and my sheep with her cute white eyebrows...I didn't put a tutu on her but It does seem like she's in one. . .
Have a great weekend too Annie!
Kathy, I love the mental image I now have of you outrunning a Highland cow (I know you would totally outrun the beast, especially since she'd probably trip with all those bangs in her eyes!)
ReplyDeleteAnd your souvenir cow and sheep are beautiful, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your finds from Scotland!
Hi Sandra, your comments and Annie's made me laugh! Yes, without a strong hair Barrett to give her a better visual , I would totally out run my highland friend! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't buy as many things as I did in Spain but what few items i did manage to cram into my luggage I really love.
Thanks so much for your comments Sandra. Have a great weekend.
Kathy,I love your Scottish animals, and I agree a Highland cow is so much cuter than a mountain lion. Speaking of the devil, my FIL saw one while they were hiking in Colorado in the summer, yikes! he said that the lion just passed in front of them, I was freaking out just listening to him tell the story.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hi Candi, thanks so much for your comments. Yikes on your FIL encountering a mountain Lion. That must have been so scary. I remember when me and my friends crashed into a bear in the Yosemite. At first I was excited to see one so up close but then when it started to walk and I saw his body move and could sense his strength I froze in my tracks. all three of us did. Of course it didn't stop me from whipping out my camera and snapping a photo. My friend (like me) did the same but his was more focused. Mine was blurry! :)
ReplyDeleteI love my two scottish souvenir friends too. Thanks again and have a great weekend!
Hi K: Glad you're back blogging from the US. Hysterical but quite appropriate that a stuffed animal - a cow and a sheep,no less, be among the souvenirs .. bangs and all. Now, is there a single malt perhaps??
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to more Scotland posts!
ReplyDeleteTicks = ick in my books!! My cats get them on their necks occasionally and I get the willies having to touch them (our vet said to put vasoline over them and they will back out to avoid suffocation...seems to work, but I hate putting the vasoline on them!)
ReplyDeleteLove the souvenirs, they are adorable!! Hope you had a great weekend :)
Hi M, thanks so much for your comments. I'm glad to be back.... And yes you will be seeing a single malt appearance soon. :) Glad you like my little friends, bangs and all.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, thanks so much for your comments. I look forward to sorting through my photos and posting more on Scotland.
Hi Anne, thanks so much for your comments. I love my souvenir cow and sheep too. It takes so little to make me happy... :) Yikes on the ticks. Your poor little cats. And poor you to have to take them off. Its a good thing the vasoline helps to keep them off of them.
Thanks everyone again for your comments. Hope you all had a great weekend. Have a nice Sunday evening.
Hi Kathy, welcome back to photohunt. My Grandmother has lyme disease and it is very undesirable. I have to agree with everyone else that your Scottish animals are very cute. I prefer running into 'roos and even emus over the black bears of NM (we come across several in our hiking).
ReplyDeleteHi Maya, I'm very sorry to hear that your grandmother has Lymne disease. I was really surprised to read this sign and learn about how ticks could potentially give the disease. We took the warnings and tip seriously and made sure to shake our clothing before we got back in the car.
ReplyDeleteI think I would rather run into an emu rather than a black bear too. The one we saw was small but yet seemed powerful to me. I think taking a photo was a risk because it could've reacted to the noise but sometimes we don't think about things in the moment. This was probably one of those times.
Thanks so much for your comments. I'm very glad to be back on PhotoHunt again and look forward to the coming year...
Have a great week!
Ticks and mountain lions, two very undesirable things to encounter. Great take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteCute Scottish souvenirs!
