Saturday's PhotoHunting: A Shot from the Hip

Built in 1928, Los Angeles City Hall actually has some pretty cool architectural features.   

Today, I was rushing around doing errands in City Hall and while there I intended to take a photo of the beautiful Rotunda which is a popular scene featured in a few movies.  Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to get to the Rotunda.  Lucky for me, before returning to my office, I was riding down on the elevator and noticed how cool the design on the walls were. Since I was by myself, I whipped out my iPhone and snapped my featured photo for this week's wonderful theme from the hip. :)

Saturday's PhotoHunting: Books

Books are a source of information, they expand our knowledge, fuel our imagination and given the right author, they can be quite entertaining.   

El Ateneo in Buenos Aires, Argentina is one of the most beautiful bookstores I've every seen.  It is housed in a restored old theatre and it is a popular must see for visitors.  I can tell you that it is very much worth a visit. There's even a section for English books.  And yes, I made a purchase. :) 

The stage is turned into a little cafe.

It even has a small art display on the upper floor.

Saturday's PhotoHunting: Something Outdoors

This theme was a bit of a challenge for me because I have so many outdoor photos and I just couldn't decide what my take would be. And to top it off I just got my computer back after being sick with a virus. Well, it's better now and I'm so happy, but it took me awhile to re-organize my external drives and find all my photos. :)

 

I love being outdoors and my favorite vantage point seems to be from a position up high and looking down. There's just something thrilling about being closer to the sky and clouds.

And I will always remember my Path of the Gods hike & meeting my hiking buddy on the Amalfi Coast.

And this November, I'll have the opportunity to have the highest vantage point that I've ever had outdoors when I stand on the grounds of Machu Picchu. :)

Saturday's PhotoHunting: My Shadow

My shadow on the sand in the highlands of Scotland. During low tide I was able to walk out to the sand dunes which was cool.
