About Me

I knew at a very early age that I was destined to travel when I told my kindergarten teacher that I wanted to fly to the moon! These days I still want to travel to far off and exciting locations . . . just not too . . . too far!

Where My Passions and Dreams lie . . .

I love sunsets . . .

I love photography & will go to great lengths to capture that perfect "shot"!

Running, cycling and hiking gives me that rush. Music energizes and soothes my soul. Photography preserves my memories and tells my stories. Art provides beauty and fuels my imagination. History gives me knowledge, a deeper understanding for the present and hope for the future. Family & Friends warms my heart. And Travel . . . well Travel keeps me HAPPY.

  1. Hello Fellow SlowTravler, I just read your Blog on the Amalfi Coast. I was so stunned that you stayed where myself, and two friends stayed in May,2011.Casa Matilde, summerinitaly.com I also have a deep love for Praiano. The very things you mention, the local store, Bar del Sole, Chez Black are my favorite places there. Each year I return I stay a week longer. We are going back Sept 8th,2012 for 5 weeks. I never can stay long enough. You wrote beautifully about the place that has my heart. Thank you, Sher ( mimi052347)

  2. Hi Sher, thanks so much for your kind comments and for liking my blog posts on our favorite place, Praiano. I stayed at Casa Matilde after reading your Slow Travel Review and forum posts on your stay. And after staying in Praiano, it too has my heart. I loved the apartment and Mrs. Agata and Antonio are two of the nicest people I've met while traveling. They helped me with my luggage up those stairs and made sure that I was very comfortable which I was completely. I still day dream about my home away from home and have added the sunset photos I took as my screen saver on my phone so I can revisit it anytime. I also ate at Chez Black after reading your recommendation and I loved it so much I went there 3 times. :) I love that local grocery store and Bar del Sole too. Great places and great people.

Lucky you to be able to stay visit again next year for 5 weeks. Wow, that would be heaven to me. I look forward to reading about your trip on the ST forum.

Wishing you a wonderful trip in 2012!

    1. Hi Frugal Traveler, glad to meet liked minded Dreamers and Travelers. I appreciate you comments. I feel so lucky to have been able to travel and to experience parts of the world I had never thought of seeing, but Dreams do come true and I found myself on the Grand Canal in Venice, walking through where sultans once stood in the Alhamba and shared the single track roads with sheep and cows in the Highlands of Scotland....

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your comments.
