The visual of the opposite pointing arrows was just too cute to pass up. I figure I'm way behind my friends anyway, might as well enjoy myself and snap a few souvenir photos. he, he!

Sandra, oh Gelato would have been fabulous. A friend came back from running the Paris Marathon and she said that at one point they were serving wine and oysters! Can you imagine. :)

I totally agree with your thoughts on feeling sorry for those runners who had to run the hilly loop again. This race was a loop course too, but luckily very flat. The only challenge was that it was very windy and I actually had wind burns on my legs after the race. It would've been much harder, if it was hilly too.

Thanks again G & Sandra. Hope you have a great week.Trekcaprihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00104236389771077449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7253009424316586030.post-53120060533380134822010-05-17T14:15:29.021-07:002010-05-17T14:15:29.021-07:00Great photo, Kathy! I'd be with you and Jerry, looking for the gelato shop!

The one half-marathon I ran was a loop route; the half ended at the start point, and the full marathon made a second loop. I felt really sorry for those poor people, it was a very hilly run and I'm sure that knowing all the hills that lay ahead would have made the back half doubly hard!Sandrachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08754417283255849201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7253009424316586030.post-27389041580607547682010-05-17T11:15:08.186-07:002010-05-17T11:15:08.186-07:00Very unique! It really cracked me up when I saw this volunteer holding the signs pointing in opposite directions. I made a joke with him about the really tough decision he was giving me with his signs and then asked to take his photo. He was a good sport. The photo did come in handy for this week's fun theme. :) Have a great weekend too Annie!Trekcaprihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00104236389771077449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7253009424316586030.post-15518292304831513382010-05-15T07:09:34.349-07:002010-05-15T07:09:34.349-07:00Too funny!
